Who are we?
Financial Coach and Accounting Consultant and Bookkeeper Service for individuals, couples, and entrepreneurs. We focus on women-owned small businesses and support people doing amazing things in the world – leadership consultants, artists, activists, and so on!
We help people understand money, what it is and what it isn’t, how they can use it to enhance their lives. Money doesn’t buy happiness but poverty (or scarcity thinking) has a way of keeping it away.
Our work comes out of Briana Cavanaugh, our founder and her own history with money and background in technology and finance. She spent years working in technology only to find herself disconnected from a sense of purpose and wondering why anyone would want to sit alone in a box all day. So she set off in search of her true purpose.
She realized that while having a purpose is great, somehow she’d have to draw down the resources to do things like pay rent and electricity because PG&E still doesn’t take chickens or good feelings as payment. Fortunately, about that same time she was thrown into a job doing financial analysis for a non-profit based on my technology skills. “You can do it!” they said. And they were right That was 2003. A lot has happened since then.
If you’re considering working with us you should know that our firm works with, but does not include a CPA or an Enrolled Agent so we don’t file people’s taxes – my staff and I do help you get your stuff together so that you can work with a CPA and make great decisions for yourself (and often save you lots of money by being ready for said CPA). We do work with CPAs and give great referrals.
